Accessibility Information

We strive to ensure that Longbush Cottage is accessible for all visitors. Below is a summary of the accessibility features available on our property:

  • Wheelchair Access: Our main garden paths are gravel, however, they are wide and accessible for wheelchairs and mobility aids. Some areas include grass pathways and uneven terrain. All parts of the garden can be viewed from vantage points that are wheelchair accessible (note: some paths may be closed to all visitors if the weather has caused ground saturation).
  • Accessible Parking: Accessible parking spaces are located next to the cottage for easy access. On event days, we have dedicated spaces for those who need them; drive up to the gates and you’ll be directed down the drive to the cottage where a team member will meet you. No prior arrangements are needed.
  • Restrooms: We have a semi-accessible restroom available near the Potting Shed and Emporium, with a small step up. On event days, please make contact with a team member as the restroom is reserved for the team and those with accessibility requirements.
  • Seating Areas: Benches and seating areas are available throughout the garden to allow for rest breaks.
  • Assistance Dogs: Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the property. Please ensure they are clearly identifiable, and notify a team member upon arrival. We have cats and chickens that tolerate the occasional dog, but it’s their home too. Non-assistance dogs are welcome to stay in their owner’s car or remain at home.
  • Visual and Hearing Assistance: For visitors who may need visual or hearing assistance, our team is available to assist with guided tours and provide any necessary support. Please contact us to arrange the guided tour, as we need to ensure Luke is available for your visit.
  • Event Accessibility: All events hosted at Longbush Cottage are planned with accessibility in mind. Please contact us if you require specific accommodations.
  • Staff Assistance: If you require assistance, feel free to ask any staff member during your visit.

If you have any specific accessibility requirements or questions, please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
